In the summer, sheep<\/a> ramble freely and live at the best that nature provides from shore to mountain. Often in the spring, I come across lambs, newborn on the mountain and it always brings me great joy, those searching eyes that accurately can measure a person. It is fun to see what the lambs are doing well together and if one takes a course then the others follow. In this painting, I try to capture the freedom and cohesion of these twins, perhaps because I am a twin myself.
\nThe poem „The Lamb“ by William Blake also had a great impact on me, which says<\/p>\n

About the artist<\/a>
\nOlafsson was born in Reykjavik in January 1961. Only one year old he moved to the east coast to F\u00e1skr\u00fa\u00f0sfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur with his parents and 5 siblings.
\nThere he grew up amid a powerful nature embraced by mountains, deep valleys and abundant wildlife.
\nOlafsson studied at the Icelandic School of Art and Crafts in Reykjavik from 1977 to 1981. Now the school is called the Iceland Academy of the Arts. From there he graduated from the Department of Painting.
\nOlafsson has held several exhibitions both at home and abroad. These include the Kjarvalsstadir 1981 exhibition. The solo exhibition in the Deep, the Horni\u00f0, 1982, in F\u00e1skr\u00fa\u00f0sfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, 1984, 2007 and 2015. The Exhibition in the Sl\u00e1turhus in Egilstadir, 2007. Private exhibition in Ottawa, Canada, Constitution Square, 2007.
