Description

Art print on paper Arctic tern 50x50cm

The tern is a spiny and impetuous bird of a ternary. In the summer, there is a teal with a black cap from the beak and back of the neck. In other respects, it is blue-grey, except for a white streak under the collar cap and it is white on a stalk with black hand-sprung feathers.
The tern is known for its powerful aerial warfare and not only to protects its offspring from robbers but also benefits other birds from breeding in its vicinity.
I vividly remember my travels around the country where my sons were playing close to a teal, urging each other to run closer, yelling, swinging sticks over their heads so that the ticks “could not pierce the head.” This remarkable leafy migratory bird travels the longest of all birds, or about 70,000 km each year, and experiences two summers each year. The picture also shows the French hospital in Hafnarnes, which was recently moved back to its original location in Búdir in Fáskrúðsfjörður, Iceland.
